Improving security & enhancing your online experience with EDCU

We are introducing new measures to comply with the introduction of the European Payment Service Directive (PSD2).

From 14th September 2019, new regulations on Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) will come into effect. These regulations will change the way EDCU authenticates members when making payments online or via the mobile app.

The security of your data is of the utmost importance to us. You will now see a higher level of security when using our online platform. If you are using online payments you will be required to confirm who you are using ‘two factor authentication’. Depending on the service, you may be required to enter a one-time passcode (OTP), a pin or a thumbprint.

How will this affect you?

In order to prepare for these changes, make sure that we have your correct contact details (mobile number, email, postal address). If you use CU-Online check your details are up to date. If not please call the office. Please note that if you have not logged into your online account within the past 12 months, when next logging in you will be asked to re-register for online access. Where this applies this will be a once-off re-registration process.

We apologise for this inconvenience but it is necessary for online security and system processing purposes. Please don’t hesitate in contacting Sinead or Noeleen on 01 6750670 should you have any queries or require login assistance,
